I am a 30-something Brooklynite who has recently come to discover (or at least more greatly appreciate) the bounty that is in my immediate vicinity. That immediate vicinity has been generally defined through experience to include points as close as Long Island and New Jersey and those as far flung as Vermont, upstate New York and Rhode Island. But it doesn't get any more far flung than that when I can help it.
That being said, I'm also looking to expand my universe of cooking techniques in order to better utilize the ingredients around me. This blog will capture not only my local adventures, but the adventures in my kitchen as I experiment and experience eating the fruits of other kitchens.
